John Bull Pub Company already runs 7 busy pubs in Paris, Montpellier, Toulouse and Bordeaux. Our aim is to provide our customers with 'a taste of England' in all our pubs and we are looking to expand our estate by acquiring new sites across France. Because of this we are always looking to recruit the right people into our successful team as Managers, Assistants, Team Leaders or into general bar roles.


If you know how to create a fantastic pub experience that you want to share with customers, have a sense of humour and are easy going, and speak French and English fluently then we want to hear from you. Management experience is also a great advantage.

Pub and Assistant Pub Managers Paris, Bordeaux, Toulouse & Montpellier, France John Bull Pub Company is a successful and expanding operating division of Charles Wells that runs a thriving managed pub estate across France. We currently have seven John Bull pubs located in Paris, Bordeaux, Toulouse and Montpellier and have plans to acquire and develop new sites throughout the Country. By 2015, we aim to have built a premium estate of 15 pubs and this expansion means we are looking to recruit and develop our future Pub Managers and Assistant Managers. As Pub Manager or Assistant Manager, you’ll be responsible for maximising the profit potential of your pub by providing an exceptional customer experience every visit and working with your target market to drive footfall and sales. Leading by example to motivate and inspire your team, you’ll be passionate about customer service, love great beer and be fanatical about driving your pub forward. You’ll guide and develop the team to create the best English pub experience and build on the existing reputation of the John Bull brand. As Pub Manager you’ll also handle the administrative side of your business, including stock management, cost control and profit and loss accounts. Applicants should have the motivation, enthusiasm and dedication required to manage a busy pub in a French city and must speak English and French fluently.
